Roberto, whose full name is Robert Chonia,
is a Ghanaian musician based in Switzerland.
His professional career started as a singer and keyboard player in various night club bands. He has been the founder and leader of several prominent groups in Ghana and in Europe.

Roberto has created a style of his own that can best be described as an “Elastic menu”. This is a blend of soul-searching funky groove spiced with traditional African elements; harmoniously arranged Reggae vibes intertwined with Hip-hop, Latin and Jazz. This portrays his African heritage artistically combined with very innovative Western Styles."

BACKING GROUP
Roberto offers a 4-piece rythmn section of session musicians for artistes and
singers in the R&B, Reggae, Soul, Afro and Pop music styles. The formation
consists of drums, bass, lead guitar and keyboards.

PERFORMING BAND
In a formation called Black Earth, Roberto offers a wide repertoire made up of
African music, Reggae, Calypso, Pop, Disco, Smooth Jazz and Ethno Fusion.
